Slooooow Computer

My mother needs a new computer BAD. Her computer is so slow that it depresses me. Whenever she turns the computer on I get this sense of sorrow for her. I know it’s going to be a long and drawn out experience. Her current computer is the computer that I used to have before this one that I have now, so I’m definitely familiar with how slow that computer can be. It’s actually gotten about ten times worse since I gave it to her. Her computer is so slow that she has to turn it off and on about ten minutes early. If she needs to be online at 9p she has to get the computer started at no later than 8:50p or it’s not happening!

I think her computer is in need of more memory and a bigger internal hard drive. I’ve looked around at the prices of desktop and laptop memory and it’s not really expensive, but I’m not sure if it’s a good investment since her computer is already so old and worn out. Maybe I should just save money for her a new computer. Blah :(

What Works For You…

I think I’ve finally gained some perspective about losing weight. It took a really long time for me to get to this point but I’m happy that I have. I no longer have a desire to be skinny. I don’t think it’s in my DNA. I’m just going to settle for getting in shape. I’m sure if I worked out every day and gave up every food that I like, I could probably be the size that society thinks I should be, but never mind that. Working out every day isn’t in my DNA either.

I feel so much happier now that I’ve gotten rid of that notion of being skinny. Healthy beats skinny every day. I’m glad that I’ve read a lot about diets and checked out articles online about diet pills reviewed, because now I know what I need to do. I think it’s about figuring out what works for you. I think I finally have.

Tired of Dieting!!!!

I think I’ve given up on dieting. I don’t think it works for me. I can’t be forced to eat a certain way. I would rather eat in a way that’s healthy and easy for me to stick with. Some people find it easy to eat several different meals a day to keep their metabolism working fast. That doesn’t work for me. I can barely force myself to eat three meals a day. The problem with me is that the meals that I eat usually aren’t healthy meals. So even though I might only eat once a day, whereas someone else might eat a few times a day, I really don’t lose weight.

I think my metabolism is all screwed up. I notice that my weight seems to stay the same whether I eat a lot or a little. Maybe those people who say you have to eat to lose weight are right. I wish it was easier for me to eat three healthy meals a day, plus snacks. Maybe I’d have the energy to exercise more. Sometimes it seems like buying the best diet pills on the market would be easier than eating healthy and exercising. :(

Need Those Nails!!!!

I love this guy! He does the best makeup videos. I know. Moving on… I came across this video on his site and I’m definitely buying this stuff to try these out. If you don’t know by now, I have a major obsession with nail polish and design, so I’m looking forward to experimenting with different polishes and tools. For the most part I buy polishes and draw my own designs or I use the little stickers, so it will be cool to see how this stencil thingy will work for me. I have to remember to buy some Art Deco or get a small polish brush for designs. Check out his video!!
