Kobe Wants OutMay 31st, 2007 @ 8:10 am
Tags: I guess Kobe Bryant is finally tired of carrying the Los Angeles Lakers on his back, because he’s reportedly demanding to be traded. Hey, I say it’s about time. There comes a point when you have to give up on a team that doesn’t do anything for you. You have to keep in mind Kobe has won a few rings with the Lakers and he’s used to winning. But since the end of team Kobe/Shaq he hasn’t been doing much winning at all. Going to Miami was a great move for Shaq, and getting out of Philly has been a step in the right direction for Allen Iverson, so maybe it is time for Kobe to get out of LA. My only question is, where would he go?

Everyone Has An OpinionMay 30th, 2007 @ 7:38 pm

If you ask anyone about their opinions on personal loans I’m sure you’ll get an earful. There’s something about loans and credit cards that everyone seems to identify with. Whether they love them or hate them, they have an opinion of them. I myself feel kind of indifferent towards them. I believe they’re just fine, but only for certain people. I also believe that people should treat them as what they are and not treat them as free money. I also think that people should only get loans in the case of an emergency. So basically, loans are good for fixing up your home and going to school. Loans are not good for shopping, buying a sports car and paying for a vacation. See, I told you everyone has an opinion. Myself included.
With all of that said about loans, I was reading an article on the LoanWize web site and it asked the question, Is A Loan Better Than An Overdraft? I don’t usually agree with over drafting your bank account, but if there was an emergency and you needed a small amount of money to get you through a few weeks, I would do that. Of course that’s risky.
Well, that’s the end of my loan rant. If you do decide to get a loan, make sure you check out this article entitled How To Compare Loans Online. I’m sure you’ll find it helpful.

Welcome To Fame, JordinMay 30th, 2007 @ 7:01 pm
Tags: I was reading this article and apparently some lady named Melissa Black told Star magazine that despite what Jordin Sparks says on her American Idol biography about not having formal training that she actually did. Melissa says that Jordin was 14 years old when she studied with her back in 2004. She also goes on to say that Jordin’s mom, Jodi Sparks, and her grandmother, Pam Wiedmann — who acts as her manager, found her on the Internet and they worked together for nine months doing intense vocal work, with Jordin taking one 30-minute class a week at $25 per class. The lady then said she was “hurt for a week” when Jordin said that she hadn’t had any formal training. “Jordin didn’t have to mention my name, but at least acknowledge you had training! But I’ve moved on, and I hold my head up high.” So, that’s a big deal? Maybe Jordin didn’t consider that to be formal training. LOL. I don’t know. Jordin should have known the haters would come out soon. Leave Jordin alone. Geez.

Car Insurance In NJMay 30th, 2007 @ 6:46 pm
Tags:
New Jersey has the highest car insurance rates in the whole country so it should come as no surprise that I don’t have a car. I’ve thought of getting one, but between the ridiculous New Jersey gas prices and car insurance costs it doesn’t seem like the best option for someone who doesn’t need a car. It’s funny because I’ve actually considered moving to another state like Pennsylvania or Connecticut just to save a little money on the high car insurance rates. I’m not sure what it is about New Jersey, but it’s impossible here.
I was reading this article on the Thrifty Scot web site and they said car insurance premiums are on the rise and I’m not surprised. Since cars are something everyone needs, companies can charge really high rates if they want to. What can you really do about it if you don’t like it? Nothing. There was also another article that talked about how young, new drivers are in danger of being priced out of the car insurance market, because of the difficulty of insuring young drivers. I’m not surprised by this either, because young drivers do tend to be more reckless which ends up costing car insurance companies more money. You should definitely check out these articles. They’re a good read.
