Car Insurance In NJ

New Jersey has the highest car insurance rates in the whole country so it should come as no surprise that I don’t have a car. I’ve thought of getting one, but between the ridiculous New Jersey gas prices and car insurance costs it doesn’t seem like the best option for someone who doesn’t need a car. It’s funny because I’ve actually considered moving to another state like Pennsylvania or Connecticut just to save a little money on the high car insurance rates. I’m not sure what it is about New Jersey, but it’s impossible here.

I was reading this article on the Thrifty Scot web site and they said car insurance premiums are on the rise and I’m not surprised. Since cars are something everyone needs, companies can charge really high rates if they want to. What can you really do about it if you don’t like it? Nothing. There was also another article that talked about how young, new drivers are in danger of being priced out of the car insurance market, because of the difficulty of insuring young drivers. I’m not surprised by this either, because young drivers do tend to be more reckless which ends up costing car insurance companies more money. You should definitely check out these articles. They’re a good read.
