Bandwidth Meter

This may sound really crazy, but when I first went from dial-up to DSL and then DSL to cable modem, I was always really paranoid that the cable company was lying and that I didn’t actually have the speed of Internet that they guaranteed. It just felt like my computer was running slower then it actually should. Needless to say, I went on a hunt for a bandwidth meter to tell me just how fast my computer REALLY was. Because you can’t REALLY trust the cable companies. Anyway, I found this service by one of my favorite sites Cnet.com that allows you to test your connection and give you data about your speed. It works for dial-up, cable modems, DSL and more so give it a try.
