The Salt-N-Pepa ShowOctober 31st, 2007 @ 11:36 pm
Tags: music, reality TV, VH1I’ve been watching the Salt-N-Pepa show and it’s really entertaining, but Monday’s episode seemed so staged. OMG. I know reality shows aren’t all real, but damn. At least try to make it believable. The whole situation of having Pepa move in with Salt was just lame. I really didn’t think it was believable at all. But when I stop analyzing everything, the show really is funny. They really live up to their names, because they are so different. BTW, Pepa should say no to plastic surgery next time. She looks good, don’t get me wrong, but damn.

National Memory Screening DayOctober 31st, 2007 @ 11:30 pm
Tags: Alzheimer, illness, medical
I’ve blogged in the past about Alzheimer’s disease and how devastating it is, but there are ways that you can help yourself and your loved ones fight against it. The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is part of a great collaborative effort known as National Memory Screening Day, that was created to encourage appropriate intervention for people who may become victim to this disease by promoting early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses.
The purpose of National Memory Screening Day is to provide free confidential memory screenings, educational materials and resources to people who have a history of memory loss or are generally concerned about it. It’s an annual event that’s held each November with many organizations and healthcare professionals across the U.S working together for one purpose. You can find a screening site near your location by visiting NationalMemoryScreening.org.
If you or your loved ones have been experiencing memory loss or warning signs of dementia, you should definitely participate in this free screening. If you’d like to know if you should be screened for memory loss, visit the website. While you’re there, check out the information about Successful Aging. There’s valuable information that you can pass along to your friends and family.
Also, if you’re able to, consider making a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. This great organization works all year long to search for a cure, raise awareness and provide quality care for people with Alzheimer’s disease.

College Hill : InternsOctober 31st, 2007 @ 1:44 pm
Tags: BET, reality TVI’m loving the new season of College Hill. This season is focusing on interns instead of students, so I’m sure they’ll be dealing with more adult subject matter. On last week’s episodes the interns met each other and moved into the house. There’s already some juicy stuff going on, because two of the hottest people in the house are into each other. So you know something is going to happen between them. It’s going to be even more drama because the girl Jenna actually has a boyfriend already. Also, there’s a lesbian girl this season. It’s so funny to me that nobody knew she was a lesbian. I could tell from 20 second previews. It’s going to be a great season.

Packet8 Virtual Office PlansOctober 31st, 2007 @ 12:45 pm
Tags: computers, phones, products, services
Over the past couple of months I’ve been hearing a lot about the Internet phone service Packet8. I’ve seen advertisements online as well as read many glowing reviews about the company’s residential and business VoIP service plans. If you have a small business and you’re looking for small business phone systems that can provide your company with reliable, cost effective service that’s easy to use, Packet8 is definitely for you.
My mom has a Ministry that is currently run through our home, so when it comes to deciding which small business VoIP service plan would be perfect for us, I’d have to go with the Virtual Office Unlimited Extension plan that’s offered by Packet8. This plan has everything that we need and it offers all of the great features that you get with every Virtual Office plan. These features include unlimited nationwide or global calling, business class voicemail, a unique direct inbound dial telephone number, auto-attendant, advanced call forwarding, integrated fax support and much more.
I love Packet8 because their small business VoIP service plans are affordable as well as easy to use. You don’t have to worry about any expensive equipment to install, and you can even choose whether you’d like to self-install your Packet8 Virtual Office plan or use the professional on-site support services that they offer.
Our Ministry isn’t very large, but we do a lot of business. I can definitely see Packet8 coming in handy for us. If it can serve a purpose in our situation, imagine what it would do for your business. Visit the Packet8 website to check out this great service that everyone is raving about!
