I’ve been feeling so under the weather today. My body is not happy about this winter weather. I actually prefer the cold weather to the warm, but it’s the cold weather that doesn’t like me very much. A couple of my friends have been making vacation plans to warm places to run from the cold weather and I’m thinking that maybe they have the right idea. Obviously because I’m sick I’m not really looking to go to an island somewhere, but I would like to go away for about five days to a Bed and Breakfast. That’s my idea of a vacation. You can bring along the person that you love and just enjoy each other and the atmosphere. Sure beats being on a hot beach.

My mother loves Johnny Depp. He’s one of her favorite actors. She says she loves him because he’s so unique. I completely agree. Johnny Depp gives life to characters that nobody else can. The roles that he pick are so quirky and unexpected. Sometimes I think they’re written with him in mind, because I can’t imagine anyone else playing these parts. He’s been in so many amazing movies that it’s hard to pick my favorite, but I definitely have two that stand out the most. Those two movies would have to be Edward Scissorhands and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

Edward Scissorhands is definitely a fantasy movie that has an exaggerated story line and lots of cliches, but that’s OK because it makes you feel things. Who hasn’t felt ostracized like Edward before? Even though it’s a fantasy film, there are emotionally charged performances that touch you. That’s the same reason that I love What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. You fall in love with the characters. You admire how much they love each other. Like when the children burn down their house to cover up their mom’s death so that she wont be ridiculed by the neighbors for being morbidly obese.

If I’m forced to choose, I’ll pick Edward Scissorhands as my favorite Johnny Depp movie. I think. LOL. He’s so amazing! How can you choose just one. And now that he has a new movie coming out on December 21st called Sweeney Todd, I’m sure I’m going to love that too. You can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site for more about the movie. I expected to be gloating today about how Mel B won Dancing With The Stars, but of course things didn’t work out like that. About ten minutes before the vote came I told my mom that Helio was going to win. I could feel it. I guess it went from Dancing With The Stars to Entertaining With The Stars because Helio is NOT better than Mel. Whatev. My mom told me to look on the bright side because “Marie could have won. Wouldn’t that be worse”. Yes mom, yes it would have been worse. I’m just happy that I never have to hear Marie’s mouth ever again. Gah she’s annoying. She’s the most annoying person in the history of Dancing With The Stars. Oh yes.

I just finished watching The Tyra Banks show and Alicia was on there. Ahhhh. She looked so great. Tyra had her on for the whole hour, so you know I was in my glory. She’s so awesome. They talked about a lot of different things. Tyra was so shocked to see that side of AK. I’m not. I always knew how awesome she is. I love shows like Tyra’s because it does give you a chance to see a side of your favorite celebrities that you might not otherwise see. Good or bad.
