Part-Time MenMarch 31st, 2008 @ 10:29 pm
Tags: men, products, repairs, ToolsIn my home it’s just my Mom, my Gram and myself. Most of the time I like the fact that there are no men living in my home but sometimes when things break I wish that there were. Don’t get me wrong, the three of us are pretty handy if I do say so myself. We’ve had to fix broken showers, toilets, sinks, cabinets and many other things over the years. As much as I love being independent sometimes it’s great to have a strong man around the house to do the things that we can’t do. That’s when I call my uncles to come over with their power and air tools and save the day! I like not living with men, but I don’t mind when they come to visit!

Shopping For a ManMarch 31st, 2008 @ 10:00 pm
Tags: gifts, menI have to admit that when it comes to shopping for men I’m not very inventive. Over the years I’ve come to realize that most men are really easy to please and there are a few things that you can give them to make them happy. Those things include sports memorabilia or tickets to sports events, ties, gold cufflinks and most types of electronics. Of course my theory is a generalization, but I’ve found it to be true to about 70 percent of men. I’m sure there are a lot of men out there who wouldn’t want any of these things, but the point is that most men will appreciate them!

Horton Hears a BrownMarch 24th, 2008 @ 8:38 am
Tags: childrenJust when I think that the entertainment world is shifting from catering to children there comes a movie that proves me wrong. I was checking out this weekend’s box office results and the number one movie in the country was “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!” The computer-animated fable that features the voices of comedians Jim Carrey and Steve Carell took in about $25.1 million dollars. Not bad for Easter weekend. The Tyler Perry movie “Meet the Browns” came in at number two with $20.0 million. I’m really happy for Tyler because I love his movies. I can’t wait to see “Meet the Browns” soon!

Feeling BeautifulMarch 24th, 2008 @ 8:31 am
Tags: fashion, lingerie, womenI was online doing some shopping for body lotion and I came across some pretty lingerie that I want to buy. I saw a cute night dress and the most adorable pink cami set. I would have bought the clothes the other day, but I’m trying to budget my money. I notice that I’ve been doing a lot of shopping lately and I don’t want to spend too much money in one place. I have a real weakness for women’s lingerie and it’s easy to spend more than I want to. Even though I live alone I like to buy nice lingerie that I can feel beautiful in. What woman wouldn’t?

A New BusinessMarch 24th, 2008 @ 8:21 am
Tags: cars, products, real estateI just found out that one of my former friends bought a car dealership. How cool is that. He’s always been a big fan of sports cars and he even owns a few. I’m glad that he gets to do something that he really loves. As cool as it is to own a business of your own I don’t think I’d ever want to own a car dealership. Judging by all of the things I see on television it seems like a big headache. If I had a lot of money I would invest in residential or commercial real estate. That can be a really lucrative business to get into if you know what you’re doing. Hopefully everything goes great with his business! If not, maybe we can get into the real estate business together!
