Where’s My Starbucks!!!!

It’s about 7:30a on a gorgeous Tuesday morning and I’m already spent. I went to sleep pretty early last night but I don’t think I really got a good night of sleep. I don’t know what my problem is. Ever since I was sick for the past two weeks my sleep pattern has been really thrown off. For the past two weeks I found myself sleeping about 16 hours every night. It was so weird. I usually get about that much sleep in a week, not a day. Now that I’m starting to feel better I’m hoping that the fatigue will go away and I’ll have more energy.

I’m usually a morning person but trust me these past two weeks I haven’t been an ‘anytime’ person. Last night I think I got about 5 hours of sleep but right now I feel really groggy. I feel like those people that you see in the morning rushing to work. The ones that will run you over on their way to get their cup of Starbucks coffee so that they can get that pick me up! LOL That’s the kind of pick me up I need. Where’s my Starbucks coffee this morning!!!

No Car? No Problem!!

I’m probably one of the few people in this world that would turn down a free car if it were offered to me. I hate driving! In fact I hate riding in cars. I’m definitely not a car person. Actually, I’m not a fan of cars, trucks, planes, trains, boats, bikes, etc, etc. I’m not sure why I hate moving vehicles so much but I do. It’s pretty funny because I also hate walking. I’m most happy when I’m standing still. LOL. It seems safer.

For as long as I could remember I’ve never liked moving vehicles. It also doesn’t help that I’ve experienced a few traumatic events involving cars and trucks. That probably accounts for my fear. Whenever I tell people that I don’t drive they automatically think it has something to do with the high gas prices or high insurance rates, but that’s not the case.

Even if gas prices were lower and I could find cheap insurance on one of those auto insurance compare sites I still wouldn’t want a car right now! I might change my mind later though. LOL

America’s Next Top…. Who Cares!!!

Soooo, America’s Next Top Model is back, huh! OK, I know that but I just don’t care this time around. It’s so funny to me that the media has been making such a big deal about Top Model having a transsexual contestant but that doesn’t seem to be translating into interest for the viewers. Maybe everyone is like me and realizes that we can watch what we really want to watch on Wednesday nights and just catch  America’s Next Top Model the next day on Youtube. Whatever the case, ratings this season are the lowest they’ve been in years. Probably since Cycle 1.

I really think people are just tired of the show. I still find it pretty entertaining but these girls bore me. I haven’t really cared about the contestants at all in the last few seasons. Even though I was entertained with the drama and loved the photo shoots I didn’t really connect with any of the girls. I really think Tyra should end the series soon. I will probably miss it once it’s gone but to be honest I don’t really watch it now. If adding a transsexual can’t make people interested, what next? Hmmm many I’ll stick around and find out!

Well, Hello September!!

Today has been a great day as far as weather is concerned. If you know me then you know that I’m overly concerned about the weather between June and September. Probably because that’s when it’s so warm. The hot summer days were a huge problem for me this year but luckily those seem to be behind us. You don’t know how much I look forward to this time of the year. Last week we had a lot of rain thanks to hurricane Ike, but there weren’t really any thunder storms so I must say that I really enjoyed it. Yes!!

Now that September is here I’m actually loving New Jersey. Last month I was in tears every day, sweating and wishing I could go on a vacation just for the central air conditioning! I know those St. Barts villa rentals have great air conditioning!! Not to mention the pools. Aaah. I definitely need to vacation there next summer. Not only that, but I also need to look into central air conditioning. It’s the only way to get through the summer!
