Young Forever…

I haven’t watched Saturday Night Live in I don’t know how long, but I joined the masses and checked it out because everyone kept making such a huge deal about Betty White hosting. I also wanted to check out my favorite rapper (Jay-Z, of course). Betty White definitely didn’t disappoint but I can’t say the same thing for Jay. I knew Betty White was going to be funny because she’s always funny. Plus the promos for the show were pretty funny. I was, however, nervous that she would forget lines. She is over 80 after all. Anyway, of the skits that I did see, the digital short with the cast members singing the Golden Girl’s theme song was probably my favorite.

I also liked the “Muffin” skit. That was just odd though. At times I didn’t know whether I should laugh or vomit in my mouth. Everyone kept calling Jay’s performance epic because he did so many hits, but I honestly wasn’t that impressed. Not sure why. It just left much to be desired. I am looking forward to The Hits Collection Vol. 1 in June though!!

Throwing On My Louboutins…

I don’t really consider myself to be a shoe lover or addict like most women I know, but I’ve definitely been lusting after a few pair of shoes lately. I’ve never really cared about buying expensive shoes or even had any interest in receiving any as gifts, but seeing some of the cute shoes that celebrities wear almost changes my mind. I’ve been seeing some really cute sandals and booties this season on people like Rihanna, Ciara, and Jennifer Lopez. They all have amazing taste and style! I would kill to raid their shoe closets.

I remember when Jennifer Lopez was promoting her song “Louboutins”. She would always switch into the cutest christian louboutin shoes during the performance. Talk about shoe envy! Although I doubt I could ever afford the shoes she wears, they’re still nice to look at. Especially those cute black lace booties. Man! I think they might just make me a shoe lover after all!

Since I posted the beginning sketch I thought I should also post the finished product. I think this guy is so incredibly talented. He’s inspired me so much to want to give caricatures a try. This also makes me want to work on getting the hang of my tablet. I love that he’s included explanations in this series of videos. So helpful!!

This is so dope. I would love to be able to do caricatures. Watching him has definitely inspired me to want to give it a try. I just have to figure out how to use my tablet to sketch. Grrr.
