Glenn Beck: Conspiracy Theorist Extrodanaire

There is nothing more satisfying than watching a grown man cry. If it comes after a long-winded, poorly conceived rant about some long-winded conspiracy theory, it is even more satisfying. Although even most conservatives feel Glenn Beck’s opinions are unreasonable and way out there, they may still tune into watch his Fox News on their satellite television from www.direc4u.com/direct-tv-deals.html. Antics such as using Jenga to explain the national debt help convey this image.
The short-haired slightly overweight person who can cry on demand! may not always make much sense, but I absolutely love whacked out conspiracy theories. If you watch his show, you can easily see him featuring into movies like National Treasure and the Da Vinci code. If you’re a long-time science fiction fan, you can easily see him as a character in the Illuminatus Trilogy or Schroedinger’s Cat.
In the interest of complete honesty, I should mention that I can only take his show for so long. His misunderstanding of net neutrality and what it means irritates me. If he’s going to be right on at least one thing, he could at least look up what the phrase actually means so he can learn why net neutrality is a bad thing.

Musically: I Wouldn’t Know
May 5th, 2011 Posted 2:15 pm
A song that you wish you heard on the radio: As I mentioned before, I don’t listen to the radio, so I have no idea what they play or don’t play. But while we’re on the topic, I never really understood why people get upset when a radio station doesn’t play a song that they like. Why not just download the song and play it yourself? That’s so crazy to me. I can understand a musician being affected by whether or not a radio station plays their music, but it hardly affects me. If I had my wish though, every radio station would play Adele! Even the urban stations.

Musically: I Used To Love You

A song that you used to love but now hate: Hate is such a strong word! I don’t think I could ever hate a song once I loved it. But there are countless songs that I used to love a lot and just got sick of. Sometimes I wonder why I even liked them at all. The first song that comes to mind is “Stars are Blind” by Paris Hilton. I remember I had a weird obsession with that song when it first came out. It was even one of my most listened to songs on Last.fm at the time.
I tried to listen to that song the other day and it just wasn’t happening for me. I feel the same way about “Shake Ya Body” by Tyra Banks. I loved that song when it first aired on ANTM. I don’t hate it now or anything, but it’s definitely not something I listen to anymore!

Just The Beginning?

No matter what websites I visit lately I see an article, picture or video about Miley Cyrus and her bong controversy. Some people are saying it’s no big deal since she’s 18 now and others believe it’s cause for concern. I think I agree with the latter. I always wonder if things like that will lead to worst problems or worst drugs. It’s really an unfortunate situation. I would hate for her to end up like Lindsay and Amy.
I wonder if celebrities ever go to rapid detox centers. I was reading about one and it seems like a great treatment option. I like that some places, such as the Las Vegas Rapid Detox Center offers a psychological assessment and long-term follow-up. I think it’s helpful to get to the bottom of the addiction and follow-up with people to make sure they stay on the right path. Receiving 8 hours of treatment at the rapid detox center instead of 1 is also a good thing.
