Strawberry-Banana Fruit SmoothieMarch 18th, 2007

I love smoothies. They’re quick and easy to make and they taste great. You can pretty much use any type of fruit you may love to make yours, but this particular one is made with strawberries and bananas. I’m not a huge fan of bananas, especially mushed up, but here’s a great recipe that you may enjoy. Try it out!
Ingredients:
1 large banana
2 handfuls of ripe strawberries
5 full tablespoons of applesauce
8-10 cubes of ice
Preparation:
Add ice and the applesauce. Crush the ice until substance is smoothie-like. Add the other ingredients. Enjoy

I don’t know what diets these Idol stars are on, but I want in. I wonder how long before Jordin is no longer able to call herself a plus sized model. Just asking……
Taylor Hicks is feeling lighter on his feet for good reason, PEOPLE reveals in its new issue.
The 6′1″ Soul Patrol singer has shed nearly 22 lbs., going from 215 to 193, since his American Idol win last May. How’d he do it? By ditching fast food and such southern comforts as fried chicken. In their place: Salads, brown rice, fish and chicken noodle soup. “It’s good for your throat,” he says. “It’s also comforting, but it’s light.”

Joss Joins Team PETAMarch 14th, 2007
Tags: I’m not a fan of Peta. I think in large part, most of them are crazy. I respect their message, but I don’t respect their means. I’m not sure how you can justify hurting a human, because they ate a chicken. That brings me to Joss…
British soul star Joss Stone is the face of a new online People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ad aimed at turning music fans into vegetarians.

One of my favorite things to make when I was younger were pizza snacks. They’re really easy and fun to make. This recipe doesn’t include meat, but you can easily add pepperoni to spice things up a little. Check it out.
Serving Size: Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
3 English muffins, split and toasted
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
3/4cup (3 ounces) shredded Italian cheese blend
Bell pepper strips (optional)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place English muffin halves on ungreased baking sheet. Top each muffin with 1/4 cup tomatoes; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons cheese. Bake about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned. Garnish with bell pepper strips, if desired.
