Musically Ungifted

I’m really in love with this season of American Idol. I originally only wanted to watch when I found out Jessica was going to be on there, but I’m really enjoying it a lot. I think everyone on the show is so talented and entertaining. My favorites are Jessica, of course, and also Phillip. I really like that guy a lot. I think he has a very distinct sound that you either love or hate. I happen to love it. Especially this past week. He was so good.

Between watching American Idol and Glee, I’m really disappointed that I’m not musically gifted. I want to grab one of those Open Labs Keyboards and do a stripped down version of one of my favorite songs too! I guess for now I just have to settle for watching people who are musically gifted. I am determined to learn to play the guitar and keyboard one day though. That’s my dream!

How Will I Know…

I’m a huge fan of Glee, and when this video showed up in my subscription box I just knew I had to post it. After I watched it about 10 times first, of course. I think this is one of the best Glee performances ever. I love that they did this a capella and so stripped down. This also happens to be my 4 favorite characters on the show, and arguably the 4 best singers. Darren (Blaine) is great too, of course, but he wouldn’t have been good for this. Their voices sound so great together. Can’t wait to see the full Whitney tribute episode next week!

No Surprises Here…

I was surfing the Internet this morning, which lead me to the conclusion that some sort of country music awards must have aired last night. Every entertainment site I go to has a picture of Taylor Swift with her fake surprised face. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love Taylor Swift and country music, but it’s so boring. The award shows I mean. Taylor Swift always wins the big award of the night and is completely shocked and overwhelmed. Really? Practice a new face, girl!

The other big winners are never a shock either. You always know Taylor, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will win the biggest or most awards. Is it even surprising? It’s not like pop music where there are more choices. Sometimes Beyonce wins, sometimes Gaga, sometimes Katy Perry, sometimes Rihanna. Who knows. I like that better than knowing who’s going to win every time. Unless it’s Adele. She should win everything, every time. No questions!

Man…

This is so sad. I’m just going on record and letting the world know that I will be no more good if anything happens to my Mimi. Watching this made me cry man. This was such a great time for both of them. Things change so fast.
