Risky Travel

My cousin decided to pop in on Saturday for a surprise visit, but she forgot to bring one very important person with her. My Goddaughter! I thought I made it very clear to her that she can’t ever come to New Jersey without bringing my Goddaughter with her. That’s unacceptable! I didn’t give her too hard of a time about it since she was riding with someone else. Usually she drives the 2+ hours from Pennsylvania, but this time her friend drove.
I was very happy about that because my cousin has a bad habit of getting on the road late. I think that’s so unsafe for a young mother to be on the road alone with children. I’m not sure if she has roadside assistance, but I still feel uneasy about that. You never know what can happen. I think it makes more sense for her to head home no later than 7 p.m. That way she’ll get in no later than 10 p.m. But leaving at 10 is so risky.
Baby Boom!

I don’t know what is in the water, but every time I turn around someone I know is pregnant. Whether it’s a woman I know personally, or someone famous, everyone seems to be pregnant. It’s funny because the economy and stuff is so bad, yet there are so many kids being born. I guess not everyone is struggling. It’s just so strange to me. No matter how bad the times are, I’m always happy when babies are born.
I love babies! I think babies are all that’s right in this world. They are so perfect and innocent. At least for about a year! Then they start figuring things out and they are no longer so innocent! LOL! Although I don’t smoke, I’m raising a few Gurkha cigars to all the proud new parents out there. I wish your all a blessed life with happy and healthy babies!
Some Place In The Middle

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to moving closer to my Goddaughter. Although she lives about 2.5 hours away, I really only see her a few times every year. Sometimes I miss her so much that I can’t stand it! I’m not sure how close I would like to live to her, but I know for sure that I don’t want to live in her exact town. There are two reasons for that. First off, when I get away from my family I want some time to enjoy life without seeing someone every day, so I don’t want to be too close to anyone. Secondly, she lives in a very rural town.
I don’t have anything against rural living, but since I don’t drive that can be an issue. And unless I can find something similar to title loans Louisiana in that state, I don’t think I can afford to get a car right now. Hopefully I can find a great place in between where I live now and where my Goddaughter lives. That would be an ideal solution to my dilemma.
Mommy’s Home

My mom has been out of work for a few weeks now, and surprisingly she hasn’t been getting on my nerves. I’ve actually enjoyed having her here. She’s even been waiting on me a lot. Making me tea every day. You can’t beat that. And of course I get to tease her every day about not having a job. She finds me hilarious, of course. Although she loves being home, I’m sure she misses working. And of course she misses her weekly paycheck.
One thing she doesn’t miss is doing so much laundry. When she’s working she has to wash her work clothing and at-home clothing, so there is always so much to wash. Although she doesn’t have to wear traditional nurses uniforms all the time, she does have a lot of stuff she wears just for work. But yeah, I think I’ll be sad if/when she goes back to work.
