I Love Funny TeesMay 18th, 2008 @ 10:33 pm
Tags: Apparel, Design, TrendsI think everyone has a favorite article of clothes. I notice most people seem to love jeans. Jeans are great because you can wear them for almost anything. Not to mention they are super comfortable. The only thing that people prefer as much as jeans are T-shirts. I love wearing T-shirts around the house or with my favorite pair of jeans. My favorite kind of tees are the ones with funny pictures, sayings and quotes. I think they’re a good conversation starter and they’re also fun to wear. I’ve seen some pretty funny t-shirts over the years and I’m always entertained by them. If you’re looking for an easy way to attract attention or start a conversation, use a funny T-shirt. You can’t go wrong.

Horton Hears a BrownMarch 24th, 2008 @ 8:38 am
Tags: childrenJust when I think that the entertainment world is shifting from catering to children there comes a movie that proves me wrong. I was checking out this weekend’s box office results and the number one movie in the country was “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!” The computer-animated fable that features the voices of comedians Jim Carrey and Steve Carell took in about $25.1 million dollars. Not bad for Easter weekend. The Tyler Perry movie “Meet the Browns” came in at number two with $20.0 million. I’m really happy for Tyler because I love his movies. I can’t wait to see “Meet the Browns” soon!

Tags: DailymotionThere were a lot of funny commercials shown during the Super Bowl, but my absolute favorite was the SoBe Life Water commercial featuring Naomi Campbell and those cute lizards. I know that commercial annoyed a lot of people but I thought it was the funniest and cutest thing ever. I totally loved it. I don’t think I would have picked Naomi Campbell to be in it, but I’m just glad they didn’t play it safe and go with Beyonce as they always do. I personally would have went with Alicia Keys, but that’s just me. Anyway, everyone was thinking that Michael Jackson would appear in a commercial but it turns out that they only used his music. Works for me. Thriller lives on!

The Africans Are LateSeptember 27th, 2007 @ 11:38 pm
Tags: cell phones, crazy stories, peopleI was just reading this article on Reuters that I found to be pretty cute. The article was about this practice of “beeping” by people in Africa which Reuters describes as the “fastest-growing phenomena in the continent’s booming mobile telephone markets”. Basically one person will call another person and before they can pick up the phone, the caller will hang up. Basically only allowing the phone to ring long enough for the receiver to see that they have a missed called. That way the person with the cell phone will know that the caller is trying to reach them. The caller also hopes that the other person will call them back at their expense. That’s so funny to me because I used to do that with my bf. At the time I didn’t have a cell phone and long distance was expensive, so I would just call him and let it ring once and he’d call me right back. LOL. The Africans are late!
