Make My Building Metal!!

I complain a lot about living in New Jersey, but there is one thing that really makes me love living here. That’s the weather. Of course I hate the summer months when it’s hot, but I would hate that about any state. I love that we don’t really get bad weather in New Jersey. Fortunately I’ve never had to experience overwhelming snow storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, or anything really severe.

That makes me happy because I’m scared of all of those things. In fact, I’m even afraid of thunder and lightning. I literally cry sometimes if it’s too bad and I’m all alone. If I lived in one of those states that have to deal with earthquakes and stuff I would have to live in a metal building. I know metal buildings can’t protect you from everything, but I would definitely feel a lot safer.

What’s My Sleep Number?

I didn’t get a good night’s sleep last night and now I’m so exhausted. Lately it seems like I never get any sleep. I can’t remember the last night that I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep for more than three hours. I’m not sure what’s up with me. I think it’s a combination of stress, insomnia, and my horrible mattress. I’ve mentioned my bed a few times in the past and sadly I still haven’t been able to do anything about it.

I’ve had my current bed for a few years now and it’s definitely not as firm as it used to be. I think I’ve reached the maximum time limit that you’re allowed to keep a mattress. After a certain amount of time you just can’t expect a mattress to be comfortable anymore. If I wasn’t some broke I’d definitely buy a sleep number bed. Every time I see one on television I think about how nice it would be to have one. Maybe one day. Either way, I really need to upgrade the mattress that I have now. It’s had it!

Paint It Blue!!!

I was looking at the outside of my house the other day and boy does it need a new paint job. Not only does the paint look kind of bad, but I also hate the color that it’s currently painted. Maybe we can do something about that this Summer. I think the Summer is the perfect time of the year to repaint a house because it dries faster, of course. The only bad thing about painting in the Summer is the heat! I hate doing anything in the heat so I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to either. LOL I’m sweet like that!

If I get my wish the house will be painted blue. I think blue houses are so adorable. I wonder if the painters will have to use one of those pressure washers to clean the current paint job before they start painting. The house could really use a good cleaning anyway. I guess we’ll decide next month! Yaaay

Barbecue Weather!

It’s so cold outside today! I can’t believe the temperature is only going to get up to 50 degrees today after being about 80 degrees for the past few days. I’m not really complaining though because I actually love weather like this. Today it’s supposed to be a high of 50 degrees with light rain showers throughout the day. If you ask me, that’s perfect weather! I love when it rains outside. I hate the thunder and lightning but the rain is great.

The rest of the week is supposed to be nicer. Warmer temperatures and all. I’m OK with that too. I really wish we could have a barbecue this week. I haven’t had grilled food in so long. There’s nothing like barbecue food. It tastes so much better. I know one thing, we need to invest in an aluminum fence installation before the Summer comes because a lot of our neighbors have dogs and I don’t want any of them crashing our cookouts! Hehe
