I always knew that Corey Clark (of American Idol fame) was a bad seed. I mean yeah, he’s kind of cute, or at least he used to be. But when he sold Paula Abdul out I knew he was very flawed. Now I’m reading online today that he’s been arrested again. He was already wanted in Arizona for missing court in a prior case, but now he’s been arrested for possession of a controlled substance, as well as drug paraphernalia in Arkansas. WTF. This dude just can’t do right. I don’t know what it is about him. I guess he realizes that his homie Ne-Yo’s career has taken off, he’s sold Paula out and he still can’t win. Why can’t being the bag boy at the local Stop & Shop be good enough for some people!!!!

In case you guys haven’t figured it out yet, The Police have a new album in stores. It’s a greatest hits compilation CD. The CD is a double album that has tons of their hits on it. I’m not sure if any of you are Police fans, but you should check it out. It’s great pop music. I’m sure you’ve heard their music on many different occasions, but you probably just didn’t know who it was. They’ve even had their music performed on American Idol. I’m going to check the CD out, because I do like a lot of their songs. This isn’t a sponsored blog, I just wanted to kind of explain the sudden Police bloggage.

I was reading this article and apparently some lady named Melissa Black told Star magazine that despite what Jordin Sparks says on her American Idol biography about not having formal training that she actually did. Melissa says that Jordin was 14 years old when she studied with her back in 2004. She also goes on to say that Jordin’s mom, Jodi Sparks, and her grandmother, Pam Wiedmann — who acts as her manager, found her on the Internet and they worked together for nine months doing intense vocal work, with Jordin taking one 30-minute class a week at $25 per class. The lady then said she was “hurt for a week” when Jordin said that she hadn’t had any formal training. “Jordin didn’t have to mention my name, but at least acknowledge you had training! But I’ve moved on, and I hold my head up high.” So, that’s a big deal? Maybe Jordin didn’t consider that to be formal training. LOL. I don’t know. Jordin should have known the haters would come out soon. Leave Jordin alone. Geez.

I was reading this article online that was going on about how American Idol has a problem on their hands for the first time because Jordin will have to follow Kelly’s pattern of being the pop singer of American Idol. They spoke about how Fantasia is an R&B singer, Ruben is a gospel singer, Carrie is the country singer, Taylor is the adult contemporary singer and Kelly is the pop singer, so where does Jordin fit in. That’s so dumb. Can there only be one pop American Idol winner? Doubt it. And whomever wrote this article must haven’t listened to any of KC’s music in the last 3 years. Clearly her music is more rock influenced than pop. SMH.
