There’s Room For Two

I was reading this article online that was going on about how American Idol has a problem on their hands for the first time because Jordin will have to follow Kelly’s pattern of being the pop singer of American Idol. They spoke about how Fantasia is an R&B singer, Ruben is a gospel singer, Carrie is the country singer, Taylor is the adult contemporary singer and Kelly is the pop singer, so where does Jordin fit in. That’s so dumb. Can there only be one pop American Idol winner? Doubt it. And whomever wrote this article must haven’t listened to any of KC’s music in the last 3 years. Clearly her music is more rock influenced than pop. SMH.

If you’re reading this then I’m sure you probably don’t live under a rock. And if you don’t live under a rock then you know that Miss Jordin Sparks is our newest American Idol. I’m happy about that. Last night’s Idol was pretty long and drawn out, but there were a few great moments. All of them included Jordin. I also loved when Melinda performed with BeBe and CeCe Winans. I had to call my mom to hear that. I also liked SanGina’s performance. He’s such a star. Those were my high lights. I’m a huge Kelly Clarkson fan, but she seemed off last night. I think it’s from all of that screaming she did on Ellen a few days ago. Fanny wasn’t there because she had to do The color Purple. All in all it was a pretty good finale.

Last Two Standing

Today is the final American Idol show before a new Idol is crowned. I’m checking with my sources to see if they’re are any spoilers, so if they know anything I’ll try to post it. I can’t wait for tonight even though I’d rather Melinda be there instead of Blake. I think it’ll be a pretty interesting show since they’re so different. Kind of like Taylor and Kat. Although it’s be better, because I actually love Jordin and Blake. Hopefully Jordin will do great and take the win. That’ll be nice.

The Two Left Standing

Well, last night was the finals of American Idol and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I think Jordin has the edge over Blake because of the winning song. She just sung it better than him. Up until then, Blake was really impressing me. He’s a very talented, entertaining guy. I look forward to seeing more from him in the future. Watch at Justin Timbersnake. Anyway, there’s really no need for a short recap. They each sang three times and they were both amazing. The song one song they sung before, one new song and the song picked from the American Idol song writing competition. I’m gonna give Jordin my vote for winner of A.I., but we’ll see.
