Plug Out…
February 5th, 2012 Posted 3:41 pm
I really appreciate the WordPress Plugin Directory because I’ve been able to download a lot of great plugins that improve the functionality of my site. I’m also very grateful to the developers who work hard to make these great plugins available (typically) for free. You really can’t beat that. However, with that said, I do have a complaint. I really wish people who develop some of these plugins would pay greater attention to the product they put forth. If you don’t have the time or ability to make a plugin the right way, don’t do it. Although most of these plugins are free, and I guess you get what you pay for, we don’t expect plugins to break our sites or screw them up.
There is nothing worse than having a plugin screw your site up after you’ve installed an update. Most of the times the issues are reversible, but if a plugin creates files and pages on your site it can be such a hassle, as I’m discovering. This is a small complain though because most of the plugins do work great. And for that, I’m thankful!

Inked

I don’t know what it is about my printer but that thing can really suck up some ink. Or maybe I’m being duped by the place that I typically order my ink from. When I order my ink cartridges, they claim to be full and promise to print at least 100 pages, but that never happens. One time the ink only lasted about 14 pages. I hate that!
That’s why it’s best to get your laserjet ink cartridges from a reputable website instead of Ebay! At least that way you know what you’re getting. The next time I purchase ink I’m definitely ordering it from a website I can trust. I want to be able to get exactly what I pay for. No more half-empty refurbished ink cartridges for me!!

Harder Than It Should Be…
November 8th, 2011 Posted 8:26 am
I’m really beginning to see why people always so you should never work with family and friends. Or maybe they say you should never loan money to family and friends? I don’t know the exact saying, but I do know you should never mix business and family. Just ask commercial litigation lawyer Raleigh NC!! But I’ve learned that the hard way just by building websites with my mom and best friend. It’s hard working with people who don’t understand a lot about web design.
My best friend has these completely ridiculous expectations. He wants these to blink and light up and run across the screen, but he wants all that down with simple HTML and PHP! Yeah, right! And my mom is so overly sensitive about everything. She looks like she wants to cry at every turn. LOL. I don’t think I’ll ever want to do web design as a career.
Now I Want One!

It’s amazing how much the media, commercials and the Internet in general influences us as people. There have been so many products that I’ve never considered buying until I saw an ad for them on the Internet or TV, The Internet is the worst though because you’re inundated with so much more. Most people turn the TV during commercials, but if you’re surfing the Internet and see an ad or you’re watching videos on YouTube, it’s a little harder to get away from stuff.
That’s probably why a month ago I never thought about getting tablet computer and now, after seeing them online a few times, I’m trying to find out where can I buy tablets from. Those things are so cool. I would love to test one out in the store. If I had a chance to use one I bet it would be even harder to resist buying one.
