Last Days Of August

I’m glad August is winding down. It hasn’t been a horrible month, but it sure wasn’t the best. I’m really hoping that September will be better. One thing I’m happy about is the weather. The weather has been gorgeous this past week. August started off hot and miserable and that’s usually how it ends, but this past week has been so mild. I was even able to sleep with just the window open. Niccee!! Hopefully this month will end without anymore hot days.

Besides the weather, I didn’t care much for August because it was stressful in a lot of ways. Work was OK though for a change. I actually got in a few good hours. I’m surprised! Hopefully my good fortune (concerning work, at least) will continue the way it’s been going or even improve. It would be nice to save up enough of money to do something. I may even have my eyes set on some Branson vacation packages. I’ve never been there before, but it sounds a lot better than New Jersey!

Sky Show

My friend called me the other night to tell me that there was supposed to be a “light show” of some sort in the sky, but of course I missed it. I tried looking for it but I saw nothing out of the ordinary. Either he was mistaken or I couldn’t see it because of the gloomy weather. Either way, I missed out again. I’m not really into star gazing or anything, but I do like to see what’s going on in the sky when I can. Usually when something happens up there I don’t find out about it until the next day when I’m reading something or watching the news. By then it’s too late!

When I was younger my mom used to have a really great pair of binoculars that I used to use to look at the sky. I used to watch the planes going by and stuff like that. I definitely need to buy another pair of binoculars soon because they do come in handy. Especially during the 4th of July when there are so many fireworks going on!

Bad August

I hate August! So far this month has not been going well for me. It’s only the first week, so I hope things will get better, but as of right now, I hate August! Not only has the heat been unbearable, I somehow caught the flu or something. Colds are annoying and hard to deal with no matter when you get them, but they’re even worse to deal with in the summer. Having to drink so much hot tea and soup when you’re already hot is not fun. Luckily for me I’m starting to feel better. The weather is also supposed to be a little cooler this weekend which is great news.

I honestly can’t wait for the fall and winter to come. I don’t like the snow that the winter brings, but the cold weather is nice. I guess once you invest in some warm winter gear and a nice pair of snow boots the snow isn’t too much trouble. Anything is better than these heat waves though!

Tired Of Splitting The Room!

I really hate the office section of my room. Since I’ve been working from home my room has pretty much become cluttered with a lot of junk. Looking at my room it’s hard to tell exactly what purpose it serves. If it weren’t for the bed and dressers it wouldn’t even resemble a bedroom. That’s why I’m looking forward to moving to a bigger house. I need a dedicated office. I really hate sharing my office with my bedroom. It’s kind of convenient because I can literally roll out of bed to do work, but it’s just too much stuff around me.

When I finally do get a bigger house I hope to have a small office next to my bedroom, but I’ll even settle for a huge bedroom that can be sectioned off. I was checking out Hon office furniture and it really made me look forward to what I can buy for my office when I actually have the space. I’m so excited!
