Something For Mom!

I love my mom, she is the single most important person in my life. She’s such a great mom and and person. I really don’t know what I would do without her. Lately we have been spending so much time together and I’ve been enjoying every moment of it. We are pretty much inseparable. I’m looking forward to doing something nice for her before this year is out. She’s not big on Christmas gifts and stuff, but I want to do something for her.

It’s so easy to buy gifts for my mom because she is so easy to please. Besides, there are only about three things that she really loves anyway. I don’t plan to get her either of those things, but I will do something that will make her happy. I bet she would be shocked if I sent her a dozen fresh roses. I have never received roses as a gift, but I can imagine how wonderful that would be. I bet they smell awesome. I wish there were purple roses. She loves purple flowers! OK, enough about my mom! Have a great week everyone! :)

I Want My Baby Back!!

The other day I was checking my text messages and I saw a text from my Goddaughter saying hi to me. It was the sweetest thing and it really made my day. Sometimes it’s so unbelievable to see how much she has grown up. It seems like just yesterday I was changing her diaper and now she’s stealing her mom’s phone to send me messages. Awww! I love it. I used to laugh when old people would make comments about how children grow up so fast and now I am doing the same thing. And I’m not even 30 yet!

I can imagine how I am going to be when she becomes a teenager. I will probably go insane. I am already getting freaked out by every new chapter in her life as she grows up. Many times I wish that I could just go back to the days when we were ordering her 1st birthday invitations. Those were the good ole days, as my Gram would say! Now she is just a few years away from being a teen and thinking about boys and stuff. That is so depressing. I want my little baby back!

30 Day Music Challenge: Day 05

A song that reminds you of someone: It’s really weird, but I don’t think of anyone when I listen to music. This question goes back to my answer from yesterday though. Usually I think of a person if the song deals with the situation I’m going through with that person at the time. Like if someone breaks my heart then every sad love song makes me think of that person. But only until I get over that heartbreak. One song that makes me think of someone is “If I Could Go” by Angie Martinez feat. Sacario and Lil’ Mo. When that song came out my bf decided that the song would be “our song.” I rarely ever listen to it but when I do I smile because of him. I also think about my Goddaughter a lot when I listen to little teeny bopper songs like stuff by Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez because she likes those folks. That is about it though!

Happy November!!!

I forgot to wish everyone a Happy November!!! Yaaay. I don’t know why I’m so happy. It’s just another month. But I’m hoping that this month is just as good or better than October was. October was a pretty great month for me. I made a lot of progress in my life. Had a few stumbles as well though. I kind of failed my weight loss journey. That was the worst part of October. But the best part was that I found an amazing job that I really love like. The “new” feeling has kind of worn off, but I still love the job. It’s given me an opportunity to start building up my savings again. It’s nice to have a semi-stable job. I’m not sure how much job security I have, but so far things are going great.

My Goddaughter has a birthday coming up soon. She’s getting so old. I love it. I didn’t send her anything for her birthday, because I’m giving her a card with money and I would rather give it to her (well, her mom) in her hand. She’s coming to visit for Thanksgiving. I can’t wait! I’m so happy I almost want to send out Thanksgiving holiday cards announcing her arrival. LOL. Just kidding, but I am excited though.
