Musically: I Wouldn’t Know

A song that you wish you heard on the radio: As I mentioned before, I don’t listen to the radio, so I have no idea what they play or don’t play. But while we’re on the topic, I never really understood why people get upset when a radio station doesn’t play a song that they like. Why not just download the song and play it yourself? That’s so crazy to me. I can understand a musician being affected by whether or not a radio station plays their music, but it hardly affects me. If I had my wish though, every radio station would play Adele! Even the urban stations.

Musically: Radio Friendly

A song that you hear often on the radio: The radio? What’s that?! I honestly can’t even remember the last time I listened to the radio. Wow. It’s probably been at least five years though. And that’s a conservative guess. I have listened to the radio on the computer for a few minutes in the last year or two, but that’s about it. I can’t even remember what song was really big when I used to listen to the radio. Although, whenever I watch music videos it seems to be a Nicki Minaj video on, so I assume that’s all they play on the radio as well. Eh. That’s probably why I don’t listen to the radio anymore!

Musically: I Used To Love You

A song that you used to love but now hate: Hate is such a strong word! I don’t think I could ever hate a song once I loved it. But there are countless songs that I used to love a lot and just got sick of. Sometimes I wonder why I even liked them at all. The first song that comes to mind is “Stars are Blind” by Paris Hilton. I remember I had a weird obsession with that song when it first came out. It was even one of my most listened to songs on Last.fm at the time.
I tried to listen to that song the other day and it just wasn’t happening for me. I feel the same way about “Shake Ya Body” by Tyra Banks. I loved that song when it first aired on ANTM. I don’t hate it now or anything, but it’s definitely not something I listen to anymore!

Musically: Description of Me

A song that describes you: There are a lot of songs that probably describe parts of me and I can relate to, but I can’t seem to think of any of them right now. Sometimes I feel as if Mariah writes songs that best describe me or how I feel. A few that come to mind right now are “Anytime You Need a Friend” because I feel that I try to always be a great friend to people even though they may not be a great friend to me, “Languishing” because I often feel like I’m drowning and no one cares enough to save me, “Through the Rain” because I know I can make it if I keep pushing forward, and “Can’t Take That Away (Mariah’s Theme)” because I won’t let anyone tear me down completely.
