A Touching Love Story

I was surfing the blogs today when I was supposed to be working and I came across this post that really captured my attention. Then it made me cry. If you read the urban blogs, I’m sure some of you probably heard about this. If not, I’ll enlighten you. :] It’s about former football player Chris Draft (he previously played for the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Rams, and Buffalo Bills, according to the website) and his beautiful wife Keasha Rutledge-Draft who lost her battle with cancer exactly one month after the two tied the knot. I couldn’t help but cry while watching the video. It’s such a sad thing. My prayers are with everyone who love(d) them.

I Hate Bad News!

A few years ago I used to watch the news every night like clockwork, but now I can’t even remember the last time I watched the news. I think it’s because I’m such a sensitive person. I hate hearing bad news even if it doesn’t have anything to do with me. I also hate hearing about people being hurt or taken advantage of!

I remember when my best friend told me about his mom’s identity being stolen. I was almost in tears! I felt so bad for her. It makes me so sad that people can be such crooks; looking to take advantage of innocent people. I never thought I’d see the day when you have to use rfid blocking wallets just to keep people from stealing your identity on the street. It’s crazy!

Youtube Phase Out

I found this video really interesting so I wanted to post it to spread the word. I love the way Youtube is now. I don’t want it to be completely taken over by large corporations. I don’t mind new features but I think Youtube should continue to be about giving a platform to people who normally wouldn’t have one.

Already Starting Off Lame!!

Last night I was watching that Grammys special and I was really disappointed with a lot of it. First of all, why do you even need a Grammy special? I could have lived without most of those performances. I also have a big problem with some of the nominations. I think Alicia Keys should have gotten way more than she did. Not because I’m a stan (which I am, so what!!) but because her album is that good. Lil Wayne got the most which is cool, I guess, but I don’t think his album is all that great. It’s nice to see the Grammys ‘getting with it’, but besides the fact that he sold a crazy amount of albums, I don’t see what’s so great about his album. Hmm

I really don’t know how the Grammys come up with their nominations so I wont even harp on that. I was VERY happy to see that Adele, Duffy and Sara Bareilles received a few nominations. They are my favorites! I’m also really happy for Rihanna! Now that brings me to another problem. Everyone knows I’m also a Jay-Z stan, but how in the world did he get all of those nominations. Most were for Swagga Like Us with T.I. so I get it. But why is he still taking credit for that? So many questions. Oh, and Mariah (I stan for her too) got robbed!!!!
