The VS Fashion Show

I watched that Victoria’s Secret fashion show last night and I wasn’t feeling it at all. For some reason it seems so lame to me these days. The models looked great and there were some cool moments, but I don’t see what the big deal is. I really love Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, and Heidi Klum, but I kind of miss the Tyra days. Not that there was anything so different about her, but I just loved her personality on the runway. The show that she did before she retired was definitely the best one ever, in my opinion. I miss those days. Besides that, Usher did pretty good. I really like his music and stage presence, but I’m just not a fan of him as a person so I just couldn’t get into it. All in all it was a waste of my hour! By the way, if you missed it, it comes on again December 17th!

Not Too Far Away…

I hate living in my home. There was a time when I just hated living in New Jersey but now I hate it all. I hate the neighborhood I live in as well as my house. Everything just annoys me to no end. I’ve lived in the city all of my life and now that I’m getting older I would love to live in a quieter place. Most people in their twenties love the excitement of city life but I don’t. I like my surroundings to be calm and quiet. That’s why I’m working on moving to a different state before I turn thirty. I’m not sure where I want to go but it wont be too far from New Jersey.

As much as I hate New Jersey, I love that it’s close to several of my favorite states. I also love that I’ll still be close enough to my family to visit a few times a year. The best part about not moving too far from New Jersey is the fact that I wont have to pay so much for a truck rental service. That should save me a lot of money when I do decide to move.

You Wanna Be On Top?

I’m sure that by now you know that this cycle of America’s Next Top Model is over and done. I never thought I’d say (or type) this, but GOOD!!! I’m so glad this season is over so hopefully they can get started on picking some good girls that might actually make next season enjoyable to watch. As I mentioned previously, this is the first year that I didn’t watch the show. It was just so horrible. Not only did my favorite (Sheena) not win, I didn’t even like any of the girls that made the final four.

I’m not sure how many seasons America’s Next Top Model has left in its contract, but if they have another cycle like this one I’m sure it’s going to get canceled. I hope next time they pick some girls with more personality! I know a few girls that would be so perfect for that show. Too bad they’d all have to grow a few inches and lose some weight. Not by my standards of course, but according to the show’s standards. If you’re interested in being on the show you better put down the pizza (alli diet pills, anyone?) and start practicing walking in heels. Just make sure you’re interesting to watch!

Must (NOT) See TV!

Today I was planning to do one of my typical blogs about what I’ve  been watching on television and then I realized that I haven’t been watching television! I almost never watch television anymore thanks to YouTube. It’s funny because I make plans to watch things and then I say never mind and just catch it the next day on YouTube. Of course there are a lot of shows that you can’t watch on YouTube but almost everything that I watch can be found somewhere online.

I love the convenience of not having to sit in front of my television at certain times just to see a particular show. I guess most people just DVR the shows that they want to watch but since I don’t have one I catch them online. I wonder if that’s why so many television shows are getting canceled. I’m sure I’m not the only person who chooses watching their favorite shows online instead of in front of the TV set!

I’ve also noticed that I’ve pretty much stopped watching all of the shows that I used to blog about on here. That includes America’s Next Top Model and Dancing With The Stars. I feel no need to watch ANTM now that Sheena has been booted. Clearly she was the star! And DWTS is just lame now. Booo
