Beautifully-Human

Today is a cold and wet day and I hate it. I usually love days like this but today it feels so dreary out. I’m actually one of the few people in the world that prefers days like this over sunny days. I’m not a warm weather type of person. I would much rather be in a cool climate. That’s why when most of you are enjoying your summer vacations in Florida on a beach, I’m enjoying my vacation in a fun cabin some place. I love lodges, cabins and rental homes that are in small towns. It gives me a chance to go hiking, camping, fishing and things of that nature. I love cabin resorts like you find at Pigeon Forge cabins. They offer things you just can’t get on a beach!

I’m so tired. I had a pretty good day today, but I definitely could use some more rest. In fact I could really use a vacation. I haven’t had a vacation in a really long time. I’ve been thinking about places to visit and I don’t want to visit any of the typical vacation destinations. Most people like to stay on the beach or go some place warm, but I prefer places that offer a pleasant family environment complete with museums and theaters. Don’t get me wrong, I would absolutely love to stay in Hawaii and the Bahamas, but getting a rental home on the Outer Banks of North Carolina sounds fun too.

I was taking to my friend about going on a trip and I was telling them that I only like to pack the bare necessities when going on a short vacation, especially when you’re flying because the airport likes to lose luggage a lot. My friend insisted that it’s OK to bring 4 bags and not worry about them being lost. No way. Why would you bring four bags for a few days? That’s crazy. To me, bringing all of that unnecessary stuff is just asking for trouble.

Even if the airport doesn’t lose your luggage, who wants to worry about how safe all of your stuff is in a hotel. I think some people should use more common sense when traveling. Most people act as if they have travel insurance to protect them if their stuff is stolen or lost. I’d rather play it smart and take what I need. There’s a less chance of your stuff disappearing if you do that.

Have you ever been to Vancouver, British Columbia? I’ve never been, but it’s definitely a place that I’d love to visit. There are so many great things that you can do indoors and outdoors in Vancouver. One thing on the top of my list of things to do is visit the world famous Vancouver Aquarium. Where else can you go to see otters, octopus and various other sea creatures up close and personal? I’d also love to visit some of the fascinating exhibits at Science World. I love museums and exhibits, so this will be a fun attraction for me.
