She’s Finally Getting New Glasses!

My mom finally made an appointment to get an eye exam on Friday. I’m so happy because she’s been complaining so much about how badly she needs a new eye exam and glasses, but still hasn’t made the effort to go. Finally I told her that I will give her the money to get the exam and pay for the glasses if she goes. She still procrastinated for over a year! Then Monday she finally made the appointment.

I’m looking forward to her getting new glasses because she hasn’t had her eyes checked in like 8 years and her vision is so bad. I found a few websites online that sell cheap eyeglasses, so I can afford to pay for a few pairs of those if she wants. I really don’t care about the money. I just want my mom to see properly!

Cyber Monday Deals

I love doing nearly all of my shopping on the Internet. I save more money shopping online than I ever did when I used to shop in-store. Not only that, but it is much more convenient, of course. Last night I ordered a pair or boots from a store in California while in my nightgown. How can you top that? You just can’t!

Although you can find great deals every day online, the best time to save is probably during Cyber Monday. If you thought Black Friday was great for shopping in-store, you will love shopping online during Cyber Monday. I saved so much on that day last year, so I’m looking forward to Cyber Monday 2011!

Saving On Black Friday

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow. That means Christmas is only about a month away. That is one holiday I am not looking forward to. I hate that people have made Christmas all about what you can give and receive. That’s not my style. That’s why I really don’t get into the Christmas festivities. I can’t even remember the last time we put up Christmas lights or decorations. It’s been more than 10 years though.

I really don’t plan to buy gifts for anyone. Maybe I’ll get my Goddaughter something if she wants or needs something. I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements for Black Friday sales, so I’m sure I can get her some gifts right now without going broke. There are a few things I want to get for myself as well during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I’m looking forward to catching a few deals, so I’ve been holding off on shopping until Friday and Monday.

Christmas Gifts

I know a lot of people are excited about Christmas being so close, but I’m not. I’ve never been that much into holidays. I guess it’s because I never really celebrated them when I was younger, so as I got older there were no traditions to keep up. I usually don’t even get gifts for Christmas. Sometimes my mom will buy me something around that time, but it’s never specifically for Christmas.

I usually don’t give gifts either. I’ll buy my mom something if it’s something that she wants, but for the most part I just buy my Goddaughter whatever she wants. She’s still young so it’s a big deal to her. I’m not sure what she wants this year, but I hope I can find xmas gifts under $20 for anyone else I have to shop for!
