Speaking Turkish

When I think back about my experience with high school, I really regret not taking Spanish seriously. I was kind of annoyed that I was required to take Spanish, so I honestly played around a lot in that class. If I knew then what I know now, I definitely would have studied harder so that I would be fluent in that language. I know this seems random, but I was just reading about this Turkish translation service online and it made me think about that.

You know what is funny though. I read that 10 million people speak Turkish as a second language, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard that language spoken before. I bet it sounds nice though. I love to hear people speak in different languages and even accents. Of course I’d need a Turkish translator to know what they were saying, but that’s cool.

I love that the Turkish translation agency I was reading about is based in London. You guys know how obsessed I am with British people. Especially their accents! I would love to hear a Brit speaking Turkish!!

A Job That I Love

I need a job. Well, not right now but I definitely need to find one soon. I’ve been talking to my cousin about moving out of town by the end of this year and I’m curious as to what I can expect from the job market. The bad thing about me is that I’m not passionate about anything. The things that I am passionate about I can no longer do for a living. Graphic design is my first love but it has become too difficult to do that so there is no way I can make a living from it. I need to take some time and think about what really makes me happy. I’d settle for having a job like a futures broker or something similar but a job in design is what I would really love. Hopefully things might still work out in my favor!

How About Some Compassion

I’ve been reading quite a few things online about celebrities with drug and alcohol addictions and most of the talk surrounding them is pretty cruel. I remember when people used to have compassion for people on drugs and treated them with respect. That seems to be a thing of the past. Now they’re mocked and ridiculed. People expect someone to just become clean in one day and it doesn’t work that way. Some people can probably quit drugs and alcohol that easy, but most people need a good drug rehab program and a strong support system. I really wish we as people could embrace these people more instead of isolating them. Just think how much more helpful that would be.
