Change Batteries Now!!
April 27th, 2012 Posted 9:06 pm
I love digital cameras, but I wish there was a way to use all of them without batteries. I don’t know if it’s just the Canon camera that I use, but that thing sucks the life out of batteries. There have been so many times when I changed the batteries, turned on the camera and took a few pictures, and that was it. The little “change batteries now” message comes on the screen, and the camera shuts off. Dead. Just like that. It’s ridiculous. I’ve even tried rechargeable batteries and the same thing happens. I need batteries that are going to do something. I’ve tried Duracell batteries before, but maybe I need to try Duracell Procell AA batteries next time. I need something that will at least last for a few days, because having a camera die in the middle of taking pictures is annoying.

She Has No Time For Me
April 2nd, 2012 Posted 7:11 am
I really miss my Goddaughter. It’s been awhile since I had a chance to speak to her on the phone. I hate that she’s growing up so fast. Now she’s too busy for me! She would much rather hang with her friends than spend time talking to her Godmother on the phone. I tried the whole texting her thing but that didn’t work out well either. Most of the time she just replies with one word answers. And even that takes her a long time. Example: Me: “Hey Goddaughter, I miss you. How have you been doing over there?” — 30 minutes later — Her: “Good.” SMH.
We’re going to have to do better. At the rate we’re going, we’ll need some kind of fancy video conferencing solutions just to bring us together. And even then she’ll probably forget to be home in time for us to do a conference call. Kids!

PCs Rule
April 2nd, 2012 Posted 7:01 am
No matter how much technology changes and things improve, one thing stays the same. I love my desktop computer and I always will. I think so anyway. I may buy into whatever is currently hot in technology at the time, but I don’t think any smartphone, tablet, netbook, or the like will ever replace my desktop computer. I even use my desktop more than my laptop. In fact, I probably use the desktop at a ratio of 4 to 1. Or whatever. LOL.
The point is, PC desktops rule. And they probably always will. Even if you have a variety of other devices. I know I don’t plan to get rid of mine anytime soon. And even if I finally give in and buy that other brand of computers like I plan to, I’m still keeping a PC on hand.

Home Control
April 5th, 2011 Posted 11:46 pm
My mom and I had a great discussion today about all the advancements in technology and other things. I can’t imagine what it was like in the sixties when my mom was born. Even in the eighties when I was born there weren’t as many awesome inventions and advancements as there are now. It’s a great time for technology!
There are tons of great advancements, but one that I find awesome is home automation. I love the idea of having remote or automatic control over the things in my home. That’s even better than The Clapper! I would use home automation to control security and thermostats. Those are two of my biggest concerns in the home.
