Better Days Behind

I can’t keep up with America’s Next Top Model this season. I’ve tried but I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that I just don’t care about it. I think that show has seen better days. If it wasn’t for Sheena I don’t think I’d even watch. I love her. She reminds me so much of Kimora Lee Simmons. That’s a good thing by the way! I love Kimora!! Her confidence is definitely something that I admire a lot. I also admire her work ethic and creativity. It also doesn’t hurt that she have two the the cutest little girls I’ve ever seen!!

But yeah, back to America’s Next Top Model. See, I even got bored typing about it! LOL. I hope they keep Sheena around for a while. Actually I hope she wins. I kind of wish Isis was still there. I found her interesting. I think she just needed more confidence. I think a lot of the times Top Model sets you up to fail. But I’m sure nobody is complaining because at least they’re better off after the show than they were before. Well, in most cases…

Television Has Gone Downhill

I’ve come to realize that I hardly ever watch television anymore. There’s just nothing good on. Even the television shows that I used to be so excited about just don’t do it for me these days. I think the fact that I am getting older definitely plays a part in my taste changing, but I think it’s also the fact that television shows these days are just not as good as they used to be. I’m sure that there are a lot of people out there that would disagree because there are so many popular shows right now, but most of these shows are just new versions of old shows.

Sometimes when I’m watching television I ‘feel like I’ve seen that before.’ And it’s probably because I have. Whenever something is popular they make 5 different versions of it and it just kills you! Just look at how many dating reality shows that are on television now. People will do anything for money. What’s next, a reality show about futures trading? That’s why I stick to my ‘old school’ DVDs. They don’t make shows like those anymore.

Um, Tyra??

Um, Hey Tyra, what’s good with you and the black models this cycle of America’s Next Top Model? LOL. I just realized that out of the last 4 eliminations since the cycle started, 4 of the girls to be eliminated were black! If you watched last night then you know that they did a double elimination. One model (Hannah) was eliminated after being deemed the worst performer in a reward challenge. That wasn’t a panel elimination so I’m not counting her. Unfortunately Isis was also cut last night. It was probably her time though.

I really think that they used her to make some kind of statement or to attract interest in the show. There was no way that they would have ever picked a transsexual as the winner. CoverGirl’s not going for that! I’m also happy that Hannah got the boot. I couldn’t take much more of her small town views. She was just so ignorant. I really don’t care who wins this cycle as long as it’s Sheena. LOL. If she gets kicked off I’ll stop watching because I have no interest in the other girls.

It’s TrimSpa Baby!!!

I think it’s really cool how a company can come up with a slogan for their product that can help you remember the product even when you’re not thinking about it. I think sometimes companies come up with commercials and campaigns that are so funny that you forget what the product is and only remember the commercial. I can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me and I’m sure I’m not alone.

Sometimes I’ll be talking with my friends and I’ll mention a commercial that was so funny. We’ll go back and forth performing the whole commercial and then when we try to remember what product the commercial was for we draw a complete blank. LOL. That’s not good. If you’re smart you’ll create a campaign or slogan that makes the person remember your company. For instance, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten dressed up in a nice outfit and recited the phrase “Like my body? It’s Trimspa baby!!” LOL. That’s unforgettable!
