It's All Random

Still Undecided…

January 4th, 2012

Now that things are coming to and end at my current job, I’m trying to think of what else I would like to do with my life. If I decide on a new career, I’m still young enough to go back to school for something different. The only problem is I have no idea what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. Actually, I do. But those two jobs are more volunteer than anything. And although I love them and they make me happy, they don’t pay the bills. =/

I wouldn’t mind doing something in the medical field, perhaps even Recreational Therapist Jobs. I love helping people and I’m usually very patient and encouraging. I think that’s what important if you work in the medical field. No one wants to deal with rude and impatient people when they are sick or injured.

Bothersome Lashes

December 29th, 2011

I hate my eyelashes so much! We just don’t get along. For as long as I can remember they have been falling out left and right. Every day a lash falls in my eye and I have to do the ‘eye roll and tuck’ to get it out. I tried rinsing my eyes with water but that never works. I’d rather just rub my eye until it comes up or down and then I take a clean cloth or my finger and pull it out. Yes, it is as painful as it sounds. And just think, I go through this every single day!

If I could, I would definitely try eyelash growth products to make my lashes grow thicker, longer and stronger. I would even settle for just stronger lashes that didn’t fall out every day. What’s funny is that even though I lose lashes every day I still have a lot. My eyelashes never look thin or weird. They must grow back very fast!

A Touching Love Story

December 29th, 2011

I was surfing the blogs today when I was supposed to be working and I came across this post that really captured my attention. Then it made me cry. If you read the urban blogs, I’m sure some of you probably heard about this. If not, I’ll enlighten you. :] It’s about former football player Chris Draft (he previously played for the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Rams, and Buffalo Bills, according to the website) and his beautiful wife Keasha Rutledge-Draft who lost her battle with cancer exactly one month after the two tied the knot. I couldn’t help but cry while watching the video. It’s such a sad thing. My prayers are with everyone who love(d) them.

Who Reads The Newspaper These Days?

December 24th, 2011

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

I sometimes wonder what the most common way to access the news is these days. I know that most people probably watch television in the morning or at night when they get home to catch their news but do people still sit around the breakfast table in the morning with their coffee and toast and read the paper? I can’t tell you the last time I actually read a newspaper. It don’t think that it is people care less about what is going on in the world around them so much as it is people are wanting to access their news in a different way. For me I use http://get.wildblue.com/ to read the news I care about. I can go online to my local news provider and they have a website with all the day’s local news, from the cow that got out onto the highway and caused a three car pileup to the bad weather that is coming our way from the next state over. I can also check other things like the weather or local government issues.
